HISTORY
Hare Krishna Movement - Ahmedabad was established to spread the sublime message of Krishna consciousness among the people of Ahmedabad by spreading the glories of Hare Krishna Maha-mantra, distribution of Srila Prabhupada's books & free distribution of food (prasadam). The Movement also started its charitable activities through the Akshaya Patra program for the welfare of the society.
Hare Krishna Mandir started its journey in 2008, with a modest beginning from a rented bungalow in the Thaltej locality of Ahmedabad. Today it stands as a brilliantly shining icon of spirituality, devotion and culture. The ashram functioned with a handful of devotees and a small altar.
On the auspicious occasion of Sri Gaura Purnima, the divine appearance day of Lord Gauranga, the Deities of Their Lordships Sri Sri Nitai-Gauranga were installed at the Hare Krishna Ashram in Thaltej
In April 2012, by the miraculous blessings of Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga, HKM Ahmedabad received a gift of land from Shru Chimanlal Agrawal and Shri Nandulal Agrawal & family of Ahmedabad, and this was the beginning of the rising of a landmark temple.
With the Bhumi Puja, began the construction of the palatial temple of Sri Sri Radha Madhav. The devotees would regularly visit the site to do Harinam sankirtan for successful construction.
While the new temple was still under construction, Their Lordships Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga moved in with the devotees to Their own land.
On the auspicious day of Sri Rama Navami the utsava-vigraha of Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Madhav appeared at the Hare Krishna Mandir, Bhadaj to bless devotees with Their service.

The Mandir was inaugurated on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya at the hands of the then CM of Gujarat, Smt. Anandiben Patel
On 21st April, 2015, the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya, the Pran-pratishtha ceremony of Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Madhav was conducted. The temple was named as Sri Radha Madhav Mandir.
